Manila, Philippines – For two consecutive straight years, the Ateneo Blue Eagles are kings of the UAAP.

The Blue eagles defeated the University of the Philippines 99-81 in Game 2 of the Season 81 finals on yesterday December 5 in front of a mammoth crowd at Araneta Coliseum to claim back-to-back collegiate championships.

This victory is also the Ateneos 10th UAAP championship overall in men's basketball.

The most awaited match has ended, victors were hailed but some netizens believe that there is another reason why the UP Fighting Maroons lost the second game of the UAAP men’s basketball finals.

Former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque drew hate on Twitter for watching the second game.

Roque, who is also an alumnus of UP, was seated in the patron section, wearing a maroon polo to show support for the team.

Some netizens believe that Roque’s presence jinxed the Fighting Maroons’ chance of winning game two.
