Manila, Philippines – The police said that the parent of the Ateneo Junior High School student who was bullied by his classmates has filed a blotter report on Friday.

The student, together with his guardian reported to Anonas Police Station, or Station 9, of the Quezon City Police District on Thursday evening.

The police did not give further details due to the sensitivity of the case which involves minors.

The filing of report took place two days after a video surfaced online showing a taekwondo black belter throwing series of kicks and punches to his schoolmate at the Ateneo de Manila, inside the boys’ rest room.

Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD) of station 9 said that the blotter request was only made for the record. The parents did not file a complaint against the other student.

Earlier, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said that it would extend assistance should Ateneo’s administration would ask.

“Nakasaad doon na unang magte-take action ay ’yung ating school administrators muna,” stating the procedure in handling such case in accordance to the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013.

“And then, it is upon determination of the case or the incident, it is their job to inform the law enforcement body,” she added.
For its part, Ateneo earlier said that an investigation about the incident is on-going and vowed not to tolerate such grave misconduct of their students.
